On January 18, 2016, Roosevelt Giles spoke to the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs. Giles is President and CEO EndPoint ConsultingGroup, LLC. Giles spoke about Martin Luther King, Jr. and his mission. He also spoke about technology, jobs, and economic equality as a peace-maker, pointing out that of the 7 billion people in the world, 4 billion have cellphones. Cellphones, he pointed out, has connected the world - something that could not have been accomplished previously. Giles stated that the US should own robotics and biotechnology industries, that manufacturing jobs should return to the US, that the US needs to teach science, computer technology, robotics, and more to the children who will need jobs in this country. Giles proposed that jobs solve many problems and reduces unrest as well as the pool of dissatisfied people available for recruitment into terrorism. Giles finished by stating that most people want a paycheck to be able to pay bills, feed their family and give their children a better life, and that Martin Luther King, Jr. promoted this message.
