On 5-5-2014, the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs recognized the final 2013-2014 180 Degree Award recipients. The Award Program recognizes high school students who achieve academic turnarounds and are recommended by their teachers. The program was coordinated by Daniela Schmidt, a member of the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs. Recipients today were two students from North Springs Charter High School. Attending with his mother, Fabian Lumpkin was presented the 180 Degree Award. Dillon Rowell was the second recipient and unable to attend the luncheon ceremony. Both Fabian and Dillon are students at the Career Tech Academy at North Springs Charter High School. Dr. Lisa Stueve, a member of the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs and former principal of North Springs Charter High School, assisted Daniela Schmidt in making the presentations.
