The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs introduces its Light Up Rotary billboard at the busy intersection of Abernathy and Roswell Roads in Sandy Springs, GA. The billboard was coordinated by member Billy Lovett, who was asked to coordinate the Light Up Rotary efforts of the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs by President Gene Jordan. The billboard is a two-sided electronic presentation that reaches thousands of drivers daily in busy Sandy Springs. The idea came to member Sally Wyeth who drives by the billboard daily during her commute to work.
Text from Rotary International's website: "RI President Gary C.K. Huang chose Light Up Rotary as his theme for 2014-15. Huang is urging club members to Light Up Rotary by hosting a Rotary Day in their community, continuing our fight against polio, and increasing club membership. "Light Up Rotary is more than our theme. It is how we make a difference — every day, in every club, and every country we serve."
