On February 2, 2015, Vinings Rotary Club President Joanne Robblee spoke to the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs about the Kilifi Kids project in Africa. The Kilifi Kids project aims to educate the people on prevention methods to protect against worm infestations and other health problems that were devastating the population. Unexpectedly, cell phones provided communication and monitoring capabilities.

At the conclusion of the presentation, President Gene Jordan presented Joanne Robblee with a $1000 contribution to the Rotary District Grant supported Kilifi Kids project.
