Over 450 teachers in the Fulton County/Sandy Springs area attended the "Amazing Race" on August 1, 2013, to start off the new school year. The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs provided volunteers and financial support for the event. Dr. Lisa Stueve, former principal of North Springs Charter High School (Sandy Springs, GA) and a member of the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs, coordinated the luncheon for all attendees. Sponsors were Five Seasons Brewing, Jason's Deli, State Farm/Fran Farias, Liberty Mutual and SSEF (Sandy Springs Education Force). The program was held at the Dunwoody Baptist Church. City of Sandy Springs Mayor Eva Galambos, an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs, joined in the fun of serving box lunches.
