On June 23, 2014, Sam Zamarripa, Founder and President of Zamarripa Capital, Inc., an independent private equity firm providing growth capital, strategy and financial advisory services to lower middle market companies primarily in media, financial services and consumer products. Prior to founding his own firm, he was Senior Advisor with Darby Private Equity. Sam served as Senior Vice President, Community Development for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce from 1998-2001. Sam served as State Senator, the State of Georgia (D-36) representing the City of Atlanta (2003 - 2006). He served as Secretary of the State Economic Development Committee. He serves on the Boards of Jewish Family and Career Services and The Carter Center of Atlanta. He is a member of the President’s Council at Kennesaw State University and serves as a trustee of the Annie E. Casey Foundation and Syracuse University.
