On Friday, June 19, 2015, the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs held its installation banquet where President Gene Jordan closed out the 2014-15 year and President Elect Jerry Hicks was installed as president of the club for 2015-16, along with his officers. VIPs were all around: 2014-15 DG Alicia Michael, DG-Elect 2015-16 Bob Hagan, 2016-17 DG-Nominee Ray Raymond and 2017-18 DG-Nominee Alec Smythe. Also attending was outgoing AG Lou Alvarado and incoming AG Christine Barrett.

Los Niños Primero (“Kids First”) is a year-round education program for Latino Preschoolers in Sandy Springs, Georgia. To date, it featured a three-week Summer School (beginning in summer 2015 our summer program will expand to four weeks), a twice monthly Saturday School for children who are three and four years of age, and a chorus for children who are five and six years of age.://www.losninosprimeroga.org/

Gene Jordan and Lou Alvarado each received a Sandy, and outgoing DG Alicia Michael had her Sandy updated to include the Club of the Year banner for this year.
