On December 15, 2014, the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs recognized one student who was chosen as recipients of the 180 Degree Program, a Rotary Club of Sandy Springs program developed by Daniela Schmidt (now in Munich, Germany) to recognize students that make a great turnaround. Isis McDowell, in the Career Tech program at North Springs, was recognized. Teacher Billy Ferris attended the event along with Isis' mother.
